I was winner of The Daily Telegraph/BASF Young Science Writer of the Year award in 2000. In addition I was a runner up in the New Scientist/Wellcome Trust Millennial Science Essay Competition 2000.

When indoors I relax by doing various craft activities, reading good books, and going to the theatre and cinema.
